Hi Friends, I have one website developed in php. but my site is opened .html and .php. For example: www.mydomain.com/services.html and www.mydomain.com/services.php. this is good or bad. search engines considers duplicate content or not. Please tell me. Thanks & Regards
I think Yes, google will consider it as a duplicate content you should have your webpages open either in .php or .html extension.....
Definitely the Search Engines Consider as a dublicate content. The two different versions of the domains ie., www & non www also condsiders as a dublicate because it is having the same content.
Yes. Google Consider it as duplicate content. You can use 301 redirect to remove your site permanently to one specific domain.
You can also use the rel canonical tag to specify which page the search engines should use to avoid duplicate content issues, if you do not want to setup 301 redirects. http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=139394
