When you see a link, you can check page code and find it there. If you see rell="nofollow", it means that this is nofollow link. Google policy is that nofollow links should be set when a website owner is not confident in site he's linking to and its content.

Elevation already answered your question. Do Follow links are powerful because traffic goes back to your site because bots can crawl back to your site. Unlike a No Follow link that needs to be clicked first before its counted as a back link. But as they say a link is a link.

Do Follow Links - It is found by crawlers & it is indexed in the SERP
No Follow Links - It is not indexed in the SERPs.

Do follow means there is a link, and No follow means there no link on your keyword. So submitting your detail in no follow directory is totally wasting of time.

DoFollow doesn't technically exist, instead, it is the absense of the "nofollow" tag in a link. Links with "nofollow" do not count as backlinks to Google and other search engines.no follow is the used in the SEO but when compare to the no follow do follow post are best one in the link building .

Dofollow links are counted as a backlink which is a factor for increasing your site’s link popularity while a link with a nofollow attribute passes no link juice.

if you use google chrome you can use this tool for checking no follow, it's an app and it simply highlights the links which are a nofollow on a page.

what made you think that?? that's not at all true. do not follow links do not help you for SERPs but don't affect you in a negative way either.

Nofollow are for not crawling a link by search engine. Dofollow allow search engine to crawl links. Nofollow tag we can use if we are using a link for reference not for crawl. Both are good for human traffic.

There is a really good way to quickly find 'do follow' links which are relevant to your site. I will make that available to you for the great price of $25 a week. Just kidding - here is my free tip:
Do a Google search for YourName@YourKeywords says “Keywords” and it will show the websites and blogs that use Comment Luv which supports do follow links and keywords.
You just have to replace "keywords" with whatever your keyword is, for example YourName@YourKeywords says “make money online”

hmm well not all do follow is useless.. a good example of these is Facebook.com.. facebook is a no follow but because of it's site authority all the links you post will be crawled by google.. But all the comments are true..
