Joomla vs Drupal - Comparision

I think it basically depend on your needs. Joomla have got really cool themes. On the other Drupal is really a fast and simple CMS.

 

We used Drupal and the learning curve is low if you use a template and handle the instal easily. With Drupal 7, though, be aware that it does not come with keyword / metadata module out-of-the-box (they are working on it). So, you need to get a temp module to do this (if you're not a php programmer). Otherwise, great for SEO! be sure to get page titles, 404 redirect, and other modules to help with SEO. Use those url aliases, too!

 

It depends on proper use. But Joomla is more user friendly than dropal. if you are talking about CMS Joomla is the best but if other places and require then depend on situation.

I can't believe that I'm hearing this. I must be weird because I couldn't make much sense out of Joomla as it seemed too hard to get it to do what I wanted. Drupal was much more intuitive for me and I liked the way you can easily make blocks visible for certain nodes and how the nodes can use a name 'path' instead of a dodgy looking code. Drupal has a visual display of block regions so it easy to see where you want to put them. I didn't see anything but lists and tables in Joomla that did not have any visual clues as to what I was trying to do.

I have built more than 10 Drupal sites and love it. I can easily make changes I need to the style sheets if I have to through legacy file manager. Of course, generally speaking content management systems are less flexible than using a static web design software but Drupal rocks I'm afraid. Your're all wrong!

Where Drupal allows unlimited category levels, tagging and categorization along with the function to create multiple content with different features, with Joomla!, you need to have a Content construction kit. Otherwise, you have only three levels of content.

If we talk about a web editor, then, Joomla! comes with a default web editor, which is absent in Drupal.

 

hi guys i want to make a small scale site and i dont know any thing about joomla and drupal. My company asked me to make this site in any cms.
The features they need are
1)Page content should be changeable
2)bilingual (arabic and englsih)
3)on the main page they need to add news module

Joomla is mostly used for cms and also very easy to making e-commerce applications in it, where the Drupal is also CMS architecture but some application like e-commerce is difficult to development in drupal.

 

I have used Drupal ,,I find it bit tough to integrate website in it. and theming in Drupal is little bit complicated but it is more seo friendly. Thats why like this.
