Hi All, one of my client want me to optimize his Japanese site for Japanese Google. The language of site is Japanese. My problem is I don't know how to optimize this site as it has Japanese language. I can make the links for this site but on English directories or sites, I don't know this will be useful or not in ranking, Please suggest. This is my website; www.allstarfitness.net. This is Japanese. The key words in Japanese are Amino acid, BCAA, protein, glutamine, hair growth, and America Supplement. Thanks,Ashu
Well optimizing a site in Japanese would be very difficult if you are not aware of the language. Because first of all you'll have to check whether the content is good and unique or not and then you'll have to get links from related high quality Japanese sites. One more thing if your client wants to rank in Google Japan then it will be better if your clients sites is hosted in Japan only.
yuo have a problem with the domain name which is in .net but you are targeting google japan. most important thing you need to do here is to login to your client's google webmaster tool account and select japan as target geography. this is by far the most important optimization you will need to do. unless you do that, google will not know your targeted geo and your site may not rank well in japan. try to get as many links as possible from sites hosted in japan or from Japanese language sites or sites with co.jp extension. since it might be a little challenging to acquire such links, you can get your client site hosted on a japanese IP address host that will also help a little. get backlinks anyways, whether it is from japanese language sites or english sites. since each backlink has some value, getting backlinks where ever you can will be helpful.
I disagree, it may help a little but changing location in GWT doesn't help much, its better to get local links. Btw yahoo search engine has a much bigger presence in Japan so don't just focus on google.
You will need to find a list of Japanese keywords and then build links for them on Japanese websites.
