    Many people use to thinks that Only Backlinks from high PR sites increase the PR of your site. But it is not so, atleast for me.

    I was working on few sites and have notices that one of sites which regularly post unique ans useful content has got PR3 from PR1.
    For this site, I used to bookmark all the new posts once and did few article submission recently.

    While other sites of which I did more link building has not got so much improvement. One of my Shopping Forum got PR2 from PR1. I always moderate & keep banning the spammers.

    All the sites on which content were good have got increase in PR.

    yeah many SEO's are relying on submitting on a high PR sites not knowing how quality or good their websites are. quality content + Top level domain (if you can drop a link then it would be a big hit for your website)...

    While PR is really not a concern to me... Its definitely nice to have a good or high PR, if you are selling links or advertising on your site...

    Otherwise, produce unique quality content and go and get yourself some nice backlinks...

    Ya the new Panda algorithm is really paying of well to Google guideline followers. And the most advantage is getting by the original and genuine content so at least for some time pay attention to it and you'll get highly paid in results.

    Well the concept for link building ranked in second priority as unique content getting more emphasis because of panda. Panda sort those sites for ranking which having unique and quality contents and next value them to their backlinks.

    Could also be that google just happened to crawl one of your backlinks while it rated high before it dropped to another page with less rank. Happens with social bookmarking for example you submit or bookmark your site. It shows up on the recent pages with high pr at the site. Google crawls it and counts it giving you some pr. A few hours later it drops, but google already counted it. Really who knows. It is all a game and luck of the draw. Nice to hear you got a boost though. Keep up the good work.

    Due to the google panda algorithm genuine content is the high priority. If the content is found duplicate the pr of that website is dropped.
