In freelancing SEO work selection of good keywords is very important. Always select keywords those are low in competition and good in searches. And don't repeat keywords in your meta tags again and again.
if you want to work as an seo freelancer or seo service provider, then see what others are doing and learn from that. there is a services section on this forum where lot of people are offering their seo services. do a lot of reading and get familiar with the practice. there are other online job boards and webmaster forums as well where service providers are promoting their services which you can look at. relevant google search will show you plenty of info
