Good Business to Start

I finished my degree and i planned to start my own business...

I have good experience in Internet Marketing, SEO, Web development... I like to start a website which makes me money while i sleep... I decided to go with Software Portal like Softpedia or Filehippo...

What is your idea about Software portal ?

I am ready with Office, 4 Laptops, High Speed Internet, 3 B.A (English) graduates to work, $4000 to invest...

Is there anyother good website ideas ?? Please suggest me...

Are you a beginner? If you are a beginner you should not be afraid to try and apply all the ideas and plans you have. Anyone who seriously and earnestly he'll succeed.

software is a good market, what about something app related?

 

I don't know about the SEO part. I have been marketing for close to 8 months and boy, as a newbie, it is hard. I mean, most of us got into IM because of the notion of "making money while we sleep", but that changes soon once you find out the work involved.

Anyway, that is not to say if can't be done, cause there are plenty who are doing it but it definitely more to it then meets the eye.

Why don't you start a blog about Marketing, SEO, Web design...? Invest your cash in good content, advertising and link building and start monetizing your blog with AdSense or something like that!

 

It's up to you which niche you decide to go into, but good luck with your project/website. Personally I'd of said the whole download niche has far too much competition, I mean you've got cnet, filehippo and what not, then of course you've got the thousands of warez websites as well..

 

It's hard to build a site like softpedia ....

Why don't you ofer SEO services to clients ? with your own seo firm/agency ?

You say you've got $4000 to invest.. That wouldn't even be enough for a month of payment for all of you, so what is it you want to invest these $4000 in? Promotion?

 

You are the only one that can figure that out as every situation is unique. You need to find an unmet need that is also something you like to do. Complete a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis and write a business plan to prove that the business idea is workable. There are lots of good option to start business, If you want to go safe then you can start with small business.

 

Business is about earning money and time. When you will be able to get returns over investment as time is very important thing. Returns after shorter span such as one month are better than returns that came after long time such as 1 year. Just remember one thing, money is the biggest motivation. If you will be getting money after shorter time period then you will be motivated but when you will be running out of cash you will think of quitting.
