    For me it has to be photoshop and Notepad++. Dreamweaver is also nice

    Yet to see someone that codes html and php only on notepad without visual editors or tools. Is there someone like that in this world?

    I'm suprised many people who don't use use a paid program don't use Aptana. Albeit, it's a bit slow, but it has an excellent FTP client!

    Yes. I do exactly that. I started off with DW, but ended up staying in code view 95% of the time anyway so I switched to good old notepad++ plus filezilla and some open browsers to view the site in. PHP can easily be coded like that and in my case, preferable.

    The Dreamweaver is my favourite web site design software because of several reasons:-

    1. It allows user to preview website in any web browser.

    2. It gives transfer and synchronization features.

    3. This software has ability to search and replace lines of text or code across the
    sites.

    4. The Dreamweaver is like other HTML editors, it edits files then uploads the files
    onto the remote web server using protocols.

    5. Now this software supports the Subversion version control system.
