    Hello Forum,

I have a Textile Company that Supplies ready made material to Business. We basically Deal Whole sale and Retail both.

I want to take this to a different level. I want my Customers, to be able to order and Pay online rather than having the need to come to us every month. For My requirements, Which CMS or Software would you guys suggest me.

Just as a reminder, We also have individual buyers, and Whole sale buyers who buy in bulk. So basically, We deal, B2B and B2C.

Please give me your Suggestions with reasonable justification if possible.

    - P . S - Currently Am going with magento Free edition. Is that a good idea ?

    Hi Friend,

Thats a great idea starting an ecommerce business online, High revenue earning platform. I would like to suggest 3 things for ecommerce as my experience will help you.

    1. If you are planning to buy a ecommerce script, then AJ Shopping Cart Software ,will be the right choice with plenty of user friendly facilities.

    2. If you worry about hosting issue, you can get Zscart - SaaS Ecommerce solution with easy monthly payment option and free trial too. you can make your shop with in five minutes.

    3. If you are looking for free source means, Zeuscart will be right choice. Highly downloaded open source script online.

Good luck ...Choose one for successful ecommerce business.

Magento is good option, but as I prefer ASP.NET so I suggest you to try ablecommerce shopping cart software. It is SEO friendly as well as easy to customize.

Try OpenCart, it is a great application.

Basically, there are two application which I have found great for E-Commerce.

    1. Magento
    2. OpenCart

So, you can choose any with out any confusion.

I found Magento a Little to complicated and too many features for some with very less products like me. I went with Opencart, But Till now I am disappointed :/

You are correct in saying it is complicated...if your needs are simple and straight forward there are other good carts! The sticking points for us: Guest Checkout, Integrated Modules, Thriving Developer Community, Flexibility, Stability....that said we recently jumped to a dedicated server environment, so we have the resources to run several Magento installations! Cheers & good luck!

Magento is good but it will slow down your website loading time.

    Opencart and Prestashop are best.

Adobe's Business Catalyst is a great option for you I think. Whether to make the site yourself or even if a developer will be making it for you. The cms is very robust & every single functionality that you would need could be under that one cms.

CMS(s) can be assigned roles. So if you are not a coder & need a place to log in & change prices, etc you would have a platform for that.

Customers can be assigned roles & accounts in one cms that you control. They can log in & you choose before hand what functionality they have & do not have.

    Best wishes,

    Crys Celine
