Video marketing can be a very good strategy for driving free traffic but you need to know up front, it takes a lot of work and you have to be consistent. I won't spend a lot of time in this article talking about all of the different video sharing sites you need to post your new video to. And I won't talk about how to work those video sharing sites to attract a group of members who will be notified each time you upload a new video. That information is for another article. What I would like to share with you in this article is the result I achieved from creating a plan that required me to make a new video almost every day for one month. Obviously this was a challenge. Each day I had to wake up and think of a new title for my video based on specific keywords I needed to use for my particular niche market I was selling to. At first I did not see any clicks or follow through from the visitors that watched my videos. This included youtube. Obviously in the beginning I didn't really know what I was doing but there are strategies for marketing on video sharing sites like youtube. What is important is that after the fourth day, I realized that even if video sharing sites did not bring me truckloads of visitors right away, I still had a lot of valuable content. I had a video that I could promote on my youtube channel but what's more is that this video could also be placed on my website or blog. This is extremely important when you're first starting off in building a site to sell a service or product even as an affiliate. We are told that in order to succeed and drive traffic, we need lots of information and an important site that visitors will want to return to which could eventually lead to sales. If you don't have a clear-cut plan that's designed to generate a lot of content, this is a great place to start. You can do what I did. I committed myself for 30 straight days to create videos based on targeted keywords that were specific to the product or service I was selling. Of course I would upload the videos to as many video sharing sites as possible but again even if there isn't a lot of traffic there or I don't know how to market correctly on those sites, I still have valuable content that will help me build a great site at the end of 30 days. The most valuable lessons I learned from this experience is that sometimes particular marketing strategies don't work out the way I expect. Or the way someone states they can. I also have to realize that I could be making mistakes. Perhaps I don't understand the strategy too well and I'm trying to apply something with no experience. But there is always something good that can be found in something bad if we look hard enough. For example how about all of those articles you might have been writing? If they're not generating a lot of traffic from the article sharing sites, don't worry, add those articles to your blog or site and keep going. It will take some time but with all of this content you will have an extremely informative and valuable site for your visitors. This is the platform you need to build to sell to customers. -BettyBlue ▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼
