We have some sites related to software and we do forum posting for them. When someone has problem which can be solved using our software than we post the answer and link to our site. In the process we have posted to thousands of forums. Now the problem is that we have posted so much duplicate content about our software to forums. Someone told me not to post duplicate content to forums(we are posting on different forums ) it will be treated as spam by google and ranking for your site will go down. The matter is that if this is treated as spam than what if we post the same article to different article directories than article posting can also be called as spam? anybody help
here is the sample suppose a user ask what is system restore? and i post "System Restore helps you restore your computer's system files to an earlier point in time. It's a way to undo system changes to your computer without affecting your personal files, such as e‑mail, documents, or photos." with the url to my site where details about system restore is written i post the same answer every time a question about system restore is posted on any number of forum
This is not the right way of it. It will be surely listed in the spam list if it is in the case of forum or directories.
I also post the same question sometime in different forums but i do not face any problem but be sure that your forum site should be do follow.
@fernades if it is spam what would u call to article submission where we post same article to many article directories and my account is still active on forums the only thing is that if we search "System Restore helps you restore your computer's system files to an earlier point in time. It's a way to undo system changes to your computer without affecting your personal files, such as e‑mail, documents, or photos." there are lot of results highlighted and my senior is saying this is duplicacy and google will mark us spam. I still don't know why google will mark us spam for this
There are ways to re-phrase your answer to make it different for each forum, just as spinning articles before submitting them to other directories. Posting the same answer each time might label you as a spammer and submitting the same article in different article directories will get your articles tagged as duplicate content. My two cents. It will not fully destroy you ranking .It will only give you poor ranking so always try to post good contents and unique content to forums
Yes absolutely. It is called as content spamming. Google lowers your ranking due to this. In order to over come this, post as much as fresh content.
so try to spin your answers in different ways....mix your words....then it may be easy to hit ranking on google......
