Who Has the Cheapest Transaction Fees?

Discussion in 'Payment Processing' started by CannabisSEO, Jun 7, 2011.

  1. #1
I am getting ready for a large account at one of my websites and I am wondering which payment processor is the cheapest to use? Are there any ways to accept money without paying any fees, or who charges the least that can still be trusted?

Even the cents make a difference as this will be for 1000+ transactions per month and the fees really add up and cut a lot into the profit margin which is small.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Moneybookers and Liberty Reserve. Both have only 1% fees and I doubt if there is any lower fees, reputed payment processor out there.

    Ofcourse they do.

I think there is some confusion there - Alertpay is the MOST costly processor out there - even costlier than paypal.

Nope. They are in fact one of the cheapest.

If we have to arrange them according to fees it will go like this:

    1. Moneybookers and Liberty Reserve (Both have only 1% fees)
    2. Paypal
    3. Alertpay (Highest fees for most of the actions).

Moneybookers can't be used by US customers. Not really an option for most.

There's nothing free. Lowest cost is going to be Paypal or a good merchant account / payment gateway.

LibertyReserve however, there is a hidden cost when you want to withdraw money out.
You go through exchanger, and get your money and get deducted a fee (5-8%) and also risk exchanger bailing out.
Then possible get charged another transaction fee after you recieve your money at another payment processor.

paypal will be the best.... rest depend upon the volume of transactions and the amount per transaction as paypal charges are fixed for each transaction. where Moneybookers and Liberty Reserve charges 1% for a transaction, if the amount will be large then it will cost you more as compared to paypal.

So paypal i think is the best.

    Thanks!!!
