Will any PPC ever beat AdSense?

I don't think AdSense can hold its power much longer. There's got to be something that will be stronger and less strict.

Yeah, Yahoo had a chance previously but blew it away. There are some better companies I suppose but they only accept elite websites.

Google has the edge of search based ads and advertiser's gets more targeted visitors - That's why Adwords have higher number of advertisers and may be this is the only reason behind Adsense's success

I think if Facebook really comes up with a way to allow users on FB to make money, then it might be able to blow away AdSense.

It's possible. But no one knows the future. Maybe facebook if I had to guess which competitor.

At the moment, dont look like it

Apart from its better payout, Google also has a better and more powerful crawler that made the ads more relevant compare to other platform.

The only one with a chance at the moment would be yahoo but they are not really open and seems like half assed in what they are doing

Google is too big and powerful. and it keeps buying out potential competitors.

I had same hope about Yahoo too.

But anyway Facebook is the only one can pull something like this right now. That's only if they get into search engine market.

Well if everyone gets banned .... Basically it's a question about whether people are instrincly greedy if they are and google adsense doesn't change it's policy toward these people AND something viable pops up that has a good offering for advertisers and publishers (a quality network) then yes google won't last. Its possible :)

Facebook can compete, but only if they'll dive into search engine war with Google and beat them with that too. Then they can offer adsense like service for publishers around the world, if they'll have a successful search engine like Google, so publishers can optimize their sites for FB's search engine and drive traffic to their sites. Otherwise if FB start accepting publishers on adsense's business model, then Big Google will start penalizing those publishers from serps, who will be using FB ads code on their website, just like what they did to Text Link Ads Guys, during those early days.

So a powerful search engine from FB is a must if they want to compete with Google and Adword's PPC model, but i doubt that will happen, because FB is a social networking site and they are using Bing as their search partner.

Who knows what will happen, but healthy competition between Google, Bing and Facebook, will only do good things to publishers like us. :)

Google are really very smart and the best part is, they keep in touch of people. They got the huge respect from People . I don't think any one yet got the structure to even Challenge Big G.
