Top 5 On Page SEO Techniques That Will Get You Ranked on Google.
Okay, with all the hoopla around “how do build more backlinks to your site for better rankings”, people have more or less forgotten the importance of On Page Optimization in SEO. The thing is, unless and until you have good on-page SEO, the chances of you getting top ranks on Google are slim. In fact, one of my sites which has only 2 backlinks, is ranking in the Top 3 for a keyword phrase that has 349 million results! How? Good on-page SEO, that’s how!
So let’s get right into it. I hear you asking – what are the most important and essential On Page Search Engine Optimization Techniques that you ought to use if you want an edge over your competition right now?
On Page SEO Tip #1: Title Tag

Yes, no matter how much Internet Marketing “gurus” argue that the “title tag” has lost its relevance in Google, I’ve concluded from my testing that Title Tags still play a major role in getting good rankings. Always include your target keyword in your title tag. Don’t make it look like spam, some people include all their target keywords in their title tag. That is wrong, and looks bad. The title tag on every page must be unique. Remember, real users will see the title tag first when they search for your site or keyword on Google – so keep it readable!
On Page SEO Tip #2: Meta Description Tag
The most important Meta tag you need to really worry about is Meta Description. Google disregards the Meta Keywords tag completely since earlier, webmasters used to fill them with keywords that were completely irrelevant to their page, but had high traffic potential. Include your main keyword once or twice in the Meta Description tag.
On Page SEO Tip #3: Header Tags
Header Tags can help you tremendously in your SEO efforts. Header Tags are tags H1-H6 in order of importance – H1 being the most important. Header Tags simply tell Google that the text in that tag is important & the other content on that page is basically related to what is set in that tag. For SEO purposes, the maximum you need to go to is H3. Include only one H1 tag on your page with your main keyword. Include one or two H2-H3 tags each consisting of your secondary keywords for even better results.
On Page SEO Tip #4: SEO your Content
Content SEO simply involves telling the search engines that certain keywords in your content are more important that the other, so it looks favourably on them, thus getting you better rankings for those keywords. How do you do that? Simply bold & underline your target keywords present in the content. A word of warning, do not overdo it. You don’t need to bold & underline all target keywords present in the content, only a few. You can definitely bold & underline other important areas of content on your webpage that do not include your target keywords. It’s not a problem as long as your main keywords are bolded somewhere on the page.
On Page SEO Tip #5: Internal Linking
Inter-linking your pages internally is important. For a small site of around 15-20 pages, having every page to link to every other page on the website goes a long way in On Page SEO. To take it a step further, do internal linking by using proper Anchor Texts for those links. For example, if a page that’s being linked to is related to On Page SEO Tips, use the anchor text as “On Page SEO Tips”. For even better results, bold/underline that link text.
So here you are, 5 solid On Page SEO tips you can use right away to gain an edge over your competition. Now go rank!

    On-page optimization

    • Domain Name: - Must contain your keyword , There should not me more than 2-3 keyword, else it will be considered as Spamming.
    • Title :- Use title tag to show what your website is all about. The length of title should be 60 char actor long. Always try to place title tag under H1 heading. Don't forget to put your top keyword in that start of your title. <title>mysite.com-This is my title</title>
    • Meta Description:- It can be 150-160charactor long. It should contain your keyword and description about your site. Do not use excessive keyword. However Meta description do not play much importance to Search engine as earlier, It increase clicks on your site in SERP.
    • Meta Keyword:- There is no use of it anymore, but it is not bad if you use it.
    • Headings:-<H1><H2>....<H6> , Heading also play important role to rank in SE. Always use only one H1 heading and that should be for your title. H2, H3... can be more than one and can be use for your sub headings or post title.
    • WebPage size - Page size upto 100KB considered as good.
    • Link:- Even Google say in webmaster tool that A search engine can have problem to index link if it is more than 100. So try to keep less than 100 link on a page.
    • Image and ALT text:- Think when Images do not load when you open any site due to any reason like slow connection etc. How will you determine what was there. Here come the role of ALT text. When images do not load/open then alt text were visible at that place and your visitor can know -what was there.
    • Domain Age :- Domain age is the time period of your domain since it was registered. My suggestion is to register any domain for more than 2 year. Any domain which expiry is less than a year fall in category of spam site (not necessary but why to take chance?)
    • Page speed :- Google has recently included it in its criteria to rank a site. To check this use mozilla firefox and its two add-on 1- Firebug and 2- Page speed. You can also reduce your http request to increase page speed. Note- Visitor love to come back to site which load fast and easily.

Here are some steps of onpage, which will be very important for a website.

    1- TITLE

You must place the title of your site trying always to use your main keyword.

    2- DESCRIPTION

Next, a short description of your site. You must also use your primary keyword and if you can and sounds good, try to use a secondary keyword too.

    3- KEYWORDS

The keywords you want your site to rank well. You have to do a selection of the most relevant keywords for your content and what you are offering.

    4- HEADER TAGS

Use header tags trying to place your primary keyword between them. Header tags are <h1>, <h2>, <h3>

    5- “ALT” CODE

Use the “alt” code for your images on your site. You must place your primary keyword on it. This way, the text with your keyword is shown when the mouse is placed over the picture and the search engines find the keyword again.

    7-PRIMARY KEYWORD

Place your primary keyword once at the very beginning of your content and once at the vey end. Don’t overdo it placing it lots of times into the content. Keep it natural.

8- PRIVACY POLICE, DISCLAIMER, TERMS and CONDITIONS, CONTACT, ABOUT US.

Build above sites in your domain if needed. One for each. You must know your needs and build the ones your really need. At least, have the Privacy Policy, About Us and Contact Us.

    9- SITEMAP and ROBOTS.txt

Build a site map for the search engines and place it in your domain.

    Step 1: SEO Using Keywords

The first step to SEO marketing is finding keywords that provide low competition, but high traffic in your target market.
Use the main keyword in the title page and include it in the meta-keywords and meta-description. The main keyword should also be used within the first 90 characters of your web content. Aim for a keyword density of 1-3% and use it at least once within a text link on the page

    Step 2: Keyword Variety

Because you cannot repeat the same keyword over and over, chose a mixture of keywords in your anchor text. Vary the text by adding descriptive words to the keyword or by using synonyms for the keyword.
A tool you can use to help find useful keywords is the Google keyword tool. If you type in your main keyword, Google will tell you any additional keywords that users search for when using your keyword.
Step 3: Making Graphics Work for You

Because there is no description in images, the search engines overlook these unless you tell them what the description is. By optimizing your graphics, you can drive traffic to your website.
Add descriptive text to all your web images so that the search engines can “find” them. If possible incorporate keywords into the graphic description. Also use clickable buttons with image alt attributes.
    Step 4: Cross-Linking for On-Page SEO

Search engines discover websites by web-crawling through links. By adding keywords to your links, you can let the search engines know what the link is about.
When you cross-link throughout your website, the search engines are able to “learn” more about your site, raising your ranking. So instead of just providing a link that says “to find out more click here” use your keywords instead.
Step 5: Bold, Italicized and Underlined Keywords

Not only do readers see words that are bold, italicized or underlined as important in your web copy, search engines also make the assumption that these must be your keywords. Make sure to only use this with your actual keywords though.
If you use it throughout your text on words that are not keywords, the search engines will still believe it is a keyword. This may diffuse the effect of your actual keywords and lower your search engine ranking.
On-page SEO works to drive traffic to your website and is a vital tool in any Internet marketing strategy. High quality, search engine friendly content will increase inbound links and improve search engine rankings.
Intensive SEO can involve complex site restructuring, but there are simple steps you can follow on your own to create killer on-page SEO.
As a last note, it is important that your content is helpful and grammatically error free, as this will help to naturally build your search engine ranking.

As per on-Page SEO, The search engines must be able to find and read the content on your website to understand that it is relevant to what the search engine user is searching for, therefore you need to 'optimise the website' or address the onsite SEO issues to ensure that it is achieved. On Page SEO involves Title, Keyword Selection; research, Meta Tag, ALT tag, H1 Tag, URL structure, Content optimization, Sitemap, Usability & Accessability etc..

Very similar answers, actually I have 2 questions about that?
    1. Meta Keyword is of no need indeed? Someone mentioned that above.
    2. If a big website is created by auto rules for its keywords in most of their pages, what can we do? Do we need to input all the keyword manually? What if there are tens of thousands pages?

Can anybody help me with that.
