When Does "Payment" Mean "No Payment"?

Discussion in 'Payments' started by Surf_Dude, Oct 24, 2006.

I have been using Direct Funds Transfer since the beginning.
Yesterday, my Payment History said "Payment In Process".
Today, it said "Payment", with yesterday's date (23rd).

So I go to my bank, and there is no money.
    Has anybody seen this?
To me, "Payment" implies that payment has been made.
    Not in my case.
I'll drill through the Adsense email hassle later.
I thought that I might ask here first, for a faster answer.

    Thank you for any answer.

Probably emailing google instead would be your best bet, they are the only ones that can truly give you an answer about your payment.

Sometimes payment may have been made, but it takes some time for it to show up in your account. IMO wait till tomorrow before emailing google

    Too late. Already did.
But it takes 24-48 hours for an answer, sometimes longer, depending.
I thought that someone might have had a similar experience.

So, you are saying that "Payment" does not necessarily mean that payment has been made. All electronic funds transfers I have done in the past have completed within 2 hours. We are talking 24 hours here.

Of course, it could be my bank, which has the highest number of complaints of any bank in the country. Could this be another one of those "holding scams" (generating extra interest), where they won't even credit a cashier's check for 3 days? Or a check from a multimillion dollar company, whose name everyone knows? It has happened before. To me. With this bank. On second thought, I think that I am going to change banks, if this turns out to be the case.

    I will report back.

My money is not yet in my account yet either. I suspect it should be there tomorrow as they deposit in a batch and it probably goes tonight.

My payment has always taken a day or two (business days) to appear in my account. It's the banks delay, not Google's.

I normally have a "payment in progress" for like a day or two and then it would say "payment" and my funds would be there, however, today I noticed the same thing. It said payment the 23rd and I checked my account and didn't get the money, couple of hours later it was there so just hang tight!

Thank you everyone - great inputs.

"Thanks for checking in with us about your EFT deposit. We expect that
payments made by EFT will be processed within approximately 10 days of
posting on the Payment History page, and most likely sooner than that."

So, 2 days isn't bad at all. Adsense has just spoiled me, because of historical super-fast payments.

    There you have it.
I am very impatient by nature.
I will not stand in any line, for any reason.
That should give you some idea.
I grocery shop at midnight, for instance.
Nor will I ever darken the threshold of the California DMV. Ha-ha-ha!
