How do you promote linkage to deep page ?

What is the best method to promote sub pages of a website ?

 

There are several methods. One is to just make the quality so sterling and unique that the page will collect links (or a link) automatically. This happens to the strangest pages, in my experience. [I guess that is probably literally true: strange equals unique]

Try searching for 'link bait' on google. That will get you to a lot of sites on how to create link-bait: pages that will easily collect links. It will also include information on where the people are that will link to you (digg, stumbleupon etc.) if they like your content.

Anyhow, no guarantees.
Just keep building your site and every once in a while you will create something that attracts links - again, in my experience.

 

I use www.receivelinks.com and www.link-vault.com for this. Perfect for that.

 

the best is to have something actually useful in your sub pages to atract natural links, or to submit to directories

 

It's sometimes difficult, but one of the things you can do is when your submitting to directories that allow multiple submissions you can make some of the submissions go to deeper pags.

 

I like article submissions and of course loyal visitors who link up themselves

 

Article submission is the easiest according to me. Use a service like iSnare to automate it

Many of the suggestions within this thread are great if you are looking for the cheapest way to go; however, to get deep links the best way is to get content-hosted pages (pre-sell) whereas, your links are the only ones on the page. Nevertheless, when another site hosts this content - the eyes viewing this page were meant to be here and the click from within that hosted page will go directly into your site to the most relevant subpage you designate.

IMO this is the best way to accomplish what you are trying to achieve!

godd stuff, when exchanging links i often change my link to different pages.

 

Article submissions, social bookmarking and the likes have to be way up on the list. However, when exchanging links with others sites, this is also an opportunity for diversified deep linking

 

ya can also get deep links from sites that you recipicate with...

 

And do you do this manually or use a place like www.receivelinks.com

For example, I have one site that I have >20,000 backlinks to. I couldn't imagine doing this all manually.

 

Work with bloggers to get deep contextual links in their content - I did it with a promotion and got about 200 good links out of it.

Hmm... I tried this site, but my submissions got rejected because they were deeplinks. I shall give the others a try though...

Meanwhile you can always use RSS feeds to create deep links.
