    From the link :

During an interview today on ABC’s This Week, President Bush tried to distance himself from what has been his core strategy in Iraq for the last three years. George Stephanopoulos asked about James Baker’s plan to develop a strategy for Iraq that is “between ’stay the course’ and ‘cut and run.’”

Bush responded, ‘We’ve never been stay the course, George!’

    It's a pretty astounding claim.

It'd be akin to David Copperfield claiming to have never been a magician.

Bush's statement reminds me of the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz--If I only had a brain.

It's a great example of the Emporer Not wearing clothes.

Most politicians still think the internet do not exist where their every action and move is recorded with full documentation to back everything up. Without the net, you can imagine how ignorant Americans would be if the view of the world only came from Faux News.

Reminds me of Kerry...also proves that politicians will do anything and say anything before an election...but on other news...how about that economy booming?? Sure glad Bush decided to go to his little computer and lower gas prices and open up the stock market...

I believe you heard it from a man who had it "seared, seared..." in his mind that he was in Cambodia on Christmas. Later, we learned it was an attempt to discredit his country; that he deliberately made up the entire incident to sell his country out. And yet many dems never cared that he not only lied, but made up something that didn't happen in order to discredit his country (treason).

So, don't be surprised if a little Bush blunder doesn't get our panties in a wad :D

The Republicans are best at utilizing the English language to sell voters.

It's not staying the course. Now, it's adapting. :D

It's not realizing that a change in plan is needed. It's cutting and running.

Have you ever realized you were wrong and changed your mind? I hope not. If so, you are a flip flopper. ;)

In pure political terms, Repuplicans have been ahead of Democrats for decades on various techniques to win elections; mass mail, raising funds, identifying potential voting blocs, mobilizing supporters, and use of language.

And now some of the purely political methodologies are backfiring on Bush.

Based on his former and current use of the language, he appears to me to be...not firm, can't rely on his language, squirmy, politically sneaky, sort of weasel.

Who would support this kind of guy?

As a result, Kerry lost, as he should have.

Now, I think it's fair that in light of your comparision that we all point out to you, when a politician is proven a liar, he should not be supported based on your logic.

Bush is a liar and a flip flop. Are you going to treat him as you would any other liar? I bet you either ignore this, as you have many of my other posts lately that backed you into a corner, or try and spin it. :p

See, I think there is a difference between a flip flop and "adaptation". Furthermore, I think it is funny how worked up people get about george bush....just a reminder that clinton got impeached...in case you forgot.

Secondly, logic never works. period. It only gets people in trouble because most people don't understand it.

As the current administration says, we can't look back. So the Clinton card is moot by their rules.

Adaptation is a word you must be using for the sake of logic? Cause if having the worst death rate month of the year is adapting, we have an adaptaion problem. Right?

The hell with people, we can talk numbers and see logic. We don't have to debate with words.

But in any event, I was busting GTechs chops. I had no idea I actually caused someone to think about what I said. ;)
