    lol... OK :D

It is used without problems on internal pages, but should always be a very low priority for a domain name unless you have absolutely no other choice.

    OMFG your arrogance is amazing.

If I had the choice I would get the exact match domain, but that is not was this is about (I didn't expect you to comprehend it though lol). Clearly the OP is wanting to know if hyphen domains are good for SEO when the EMD is taken

Its not arrogance, it is called knowledge my friend - you can read about it here

I can also hold a discussion without having to resort to OMFG and STFU - Professionalism is your friend... Well, not yours, but you catch my drift :)

You can also add BS to the discussion when you talk about things you clearly know nothing about :) Chaps like you read stuff on SEO blogs and take it as the gospel with no real world experience and then pretend you know what you are talking about. Stick to your copywriting buddy.

OK, and because you seem to think that dashes in a domain is good, this is from Matt Cutts... you know who he is? (Head of WebSpam at Google, in case you dont...)

"And bear in mind that if your domain looks like www.buy-cheap-viagra-online-while-c...can-play-texas-holdem-while-watching-porn.com, that may still attract attention for other reasons."

So, with this in mind, you can use dashes, as I said, Google wont rank a site up or down for that, but it can set off their spam trigger. And the example Matt gives there is an over-exaggeration, but I am sure you understand.

Shall we put this to bed now?

See my post above - I love it when people have to eat their words :)

And are you aware who Rand Fishkin of SEOmoz is? This has also been confirmed by those guys.

Who is eating whose words? LOL this is becoming comical. You are quoting Matt Cutts and I am talking from experience.

Matt said that to emphasize a point - don't go overboard with it. But if you have a domain with 3-4 hyphens that is reasonable and you are not going to trip some spam filter. If you have more then that of course it looks spammy that is common sense. I shouldn't assume everyone has that though :)

LOL oh dear... Well, I am sure that you have a lot more experience than the head of Google's WebSpam team, so I think I shall leave this discussion now because some people are so amazingly arrogant that even when the evidence is placed in front of them, they still argue their point rather than concede that they were incorrect.

If you say a domain with 3-4 hyphens in is not going to trigger any spam filters, you stick to that - I'll stick with what I, and other industry professionals, actually know to be correct :)

Nope, thats where you have it all wrong. You mean to say you will stick to what you think is correct based on something Matt Cutts said, instead of talking from experience.

I will keep doing what works and you keep on reading SEO blogs and spreading misinformation its a nobel thing you are doing you should be commended for it :)

    Why don't you ask google.
    Simple buy a few domains
    eample
    yourkeyword.com
    your-keyword.com
    your-key-word.com
I tried it less dashes have a stronger keyword effect
test google google will tell you what she likes!

Just one final point for you then I really must go and do something more interesting. I have been doing this since 1999, I have a huge list of success, all based on experience and what actually works. You really need to get to some professional seminars (as I do), meet with the industry professionals (as I do) and find out those things that actually will work more in your favour. Once you have as many 1st page and 1st place results as I, then you can come back and tell me why you had to resort to trying to sell a signature link - you must be doing sooo well lol!

Sorry, but I wont be taking advise from any self-proclaimed SEO who cant even SEO his own website, and neither should anyone else! You don't even have a descriptions on our site lol :D I wont go into it in any more detail and embarrass you further :)

Internet advertising? You are familiar with it? Ohh right, you are a copywriter, maybe not ;)

So you sell everything in there? So all you are getting your post count up for is to feed those that advertise there? No wonder your post count is so high! Business must be good if you having to do that lol ;)

At least when I make a post it has substance and its not misinformed drivel. You suck at SEO and you likely suck at copywriting.
