Hi, Buying a link is against the Google guidelines. So, is it fine to buy a link from a web directory. Can Google track those links and may ban my site. And if it is against the Google guidelines, then why not Google ban those site which offers paid links publicly? Can you please present your views on this? Thanks!
Really a Hot topic mate. Yes, Buying a link is really against Google guidelines. My view is buying links do not affect your site. But if you buy too much that it is quite clear for Google and will easily track it out and penalize you. It's all a kind of business that's why Google not banned those directories. I think Google feels that because of buying links does not affect the results of SE. Also, Google does not consider directories links only but it considers lot more factors apart from that.
Buy link that building your link if you can do yourself you have to outsource someone to do this for you.If he do it manually I think it doesn't harm your SERP
I never bough backlinks ... Especialy from web dirs wich in my book is a waste of time ...and money ...
Good links are quite expensive. It'e better if you submit your website in free directories. For rank in google you should submit your website in most relevant category in directories.
Its worth pointing out the difference between buyng directory links (i.e buy 100 links in directories for $100) or paying a directory which is human edited for listing. The former is bad, the latter OK.
