Do Reviews Add to SEO Rankings?

Discussion in 'Google' started by thepmboutique, May 23, 2011.

    Hey guys,

I am doing SEO for our property management company in San Diego. My boss and I were having a discussion on where to focus our SEO efforts.

He seems to think getting a bunch of reviews for our business on the various directories is important for rankings, but I haven't seen much of any mention of this in the various SEO sites.

    Your thoughts?

A directory listing is not a review as such. All links are good just keep building them.

Yu only need to concentrate on link juice. Get one way linking and you'll be good to go.

Many SEO experts believe Google panda consider reviews. Reviews also help your site to increase the conversion rate. So I think you should go for it.

The net effect of SEO depends on the actual traffic or conversion, whether advertising or sales, this is the key

I observed from the reviews I received from a hotel under me, Google picks either negative or positive review from few particular review sites. And it doesn't mean that you will climb the ranking when you got all positive comments or reviews. Just like what Google always does, that's just only a factor.

Just focusing your efforts on one method is enough, such as article submission, or blogging.
