Are Garbage Backlinks Worth It?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by wes888, May 26, 2011.

I followed a tip from a SEO guy. Basically what he said is go to your spam comments and search the whole text in Google and you will come up with blogs that are auto approve.

My question is, Are these spammy backlinks worth it? Will I gain ranking from doing this or will it hurt my ranking?

Here is a sample of an auto-approve blog that I posted a comment on:
    http://www.magazine1975.com/2011/03/26/peugeot-mini-concept/

    Thanks for the replies.

    Cheers,
    Wesley

If you want to go down the route of getting these spammy backlinks, I'd 1) use Scrapebox because doing it manually is a waste of time and 2) point the links at buffer sites rather than your own site.

At any rate, your question "are garbage backlinks worth it?" kinda answers itself!

I agree with simpseo. Your question answers it. You wouldn't call anything that has worth "garbage" would you? Google is all about quality these days I don't think you'll improve your rankings by spammy or low-quality backlinks.

    This.

Avoid pointing garbage backlinks at your main sites. You're just asking to get the Google banhammer. But throwing them at buffer sites isn't as risky, and can even help a little.

You are wasting your time posting on these low quality sites, instead search for PR5 and above, then your will began to see some results. Take a peek at my signature link as it will help you tremendously.

Avoid the backlinks from poor sites. It'll hurt your site and your PR may fall down.

No they are a waste of time. You are better off getting 1 quality backlink than 1000's garbage backlinks imo.

You better have different kind of links: poor, middle, good. So a good portion of even spammed garbage links is ok.

Any link is good. But avoid spammy backlinks, as quality always beats quantity.

This method works on year2000 but not now
As you can see google is giving more and more weight on the quality, not quantity

Statistically speaking, a site with NO 'crappy' backlinks would look VERY suspicious to a search engine. Much like a girl with too much makeup doesn't look natural.

You must get quality back link for your site... Ignore getting links from low quality and less page rank site
