    Find do-follow blogs,blogs related to your niche and blogs with high traffic and PR. Also, comment on recent news/posts on blogs you have found out. Make sure your comment is worth reading and relevant to the post, good answers will make other readers notice you and your site.

    Many blogs now automatically install the nofollow tag which means your backlink will not be indexed. I'm not sure about blogs with Disqus comments plugin installed either. So if you really want your blog comments to add value to your link, then make sure:
    1) It doesn't have a nofollow tag (you can install plugins on firefox to help you detect if that blog's comments are nofollow or not)
    2) It's a high-quality blog (check PR, alexa, etc.)

    It is quite good to comment on do follow blogs and also make sure that your comment is informative & relevant. Because approval of comment is not an easy task now.
