I want to start my copywrighting carrer. Any suggestions where to start?

So I have been writing copy for my self. I have wrote copy that has converted from 6% to about 15%. I write copy for my mini lauches on WF and here (DPF). Any suggestions where I should go to find some private clients? I can write good copy for about $250 or less!

    Where should I start???!

    And it's copywriting, not copywrighting.

And it's also myself not "my self", not to mention "I have written" and not "I have wrote."

Besides, what do you mean by "lauches"?

I'm not sure where you should go to find copywriting work, but wherever you go, make sure to proofread your writing when requesting for work. Employers will treat all samples of your writing as an indication of the work you are capable of, and spelling mistakes are a big no-no.

You've made so many spelling and grammatical errors, it's almost like a parody. That does not make a positive impression on your potential clients. I would suggest that you work on spelling, grammar and style first, and then begin looking for clients. Search the internet or visit your local library for resources.

Experience tells about failure of asking other writers such questions. They will found 1001 reasons for you to avoid doing the business here.

Not true. You haven't been here long enough to see how very helpful the writers here can be to newbies. We reserve our ire for the folks who come here, obviously can't write and proclaim themselves copywrighters.

The OP here got the only suggestion they deserved - learn to write properly.

Yeah, it's not my joy in life to help those who write like an eight-year-old and/or who couldn't sell a Playboy issue to a hard-up highschooler.

To add on to that...I'm probably the only one here who advises to NOT look here or over at the Warrior forum for "clients."

For a serious-minded individual wanting to write full time to pay the bills, boards are the bottom of the barrel to look.

start by reverse engineering sales copy that are highly converting and learn it yourself from there if you don't want to spend money on courses.

Well I make pretty good money now selling products (THAT WORK!!!!) on WF and DP so i bought john carltons freelance copywrighting course for about a grand. I learned how to get clients but copywrighting is a huge pressure the way he tells. i landed my first copywrighting job for $2,000 last week and i finished the copy last weekend (took me about 3 days to write the copy). I got some good feedback from the guy and he said it was pretty good. Didnt give me any conversions just said he will recommend me and that he will use me again.

I dont want to take like 3 days. I want people that are willing to pay $100-$500 for copy on WF and copy that converts.

    :)

Great job -- congratulations!. By the way, I'd like to know what spell- and grammar- checking software you're using to proof your copy because I MUST have that piece of gold!
