    Hey DP member,

    There are a lot of little things we all do to ensure that our sites rank in SERPs and receive traffic. I think it would be interesting to know the very first two things you do after your website is live online.

    For me, I will first do a search engine submission, and then plan out some content for the next 30-60 days.

    The first thing I am doing when I get a site online is on-page SEO. When everything is as I want it to be then I go to step two: sitemap creation and search engine submission.

    When i get my site online then first i start searching relevant keywords for my site, after that i start writing content. And when all these things done then i start doing off page optimization.

    I don’t submit my websites to search engines. I build few links for the sites in my social media network. Then I will start writing more contents to my sites. I am optimizing the site before going online.

    The first once the site is online is to submit it to various search engines as well as submitting sitemap to the webmaster tools. Later on you can start submitting the pages to all the bookmarking sites given in the addthis.com widget list ;)

    I will get a directory submitting service to submit my new site to 1000+ directories then start writing fresh content every day continuously for about three weeks then slow down.

    submit it to search engine - so that they are aware that my website exists. Then I leave it for a month - it's a play safe in order to keep my adsense from getting disabled. After a month, I'll start building quality and organic bank links only and gradually, nothin more, nothing less..

    I'll start with article submission and then some high PR blog commenting. Wait for a week and then start social bookmarking. After that combination of article submission, blog commenting, social bookmarking, forum profile linkbuilding. After all that, I'm guarantee some ranking movement and traffic most of the time.
