Start writing keywords enriched content. Making your prominent keywords frequently and even in headings. You can read more about it here - onsite seo.

You should optimize your web site for the keywords. You may need to optimize title, H1 tags, internal links, etc.
Also you should build links for keywords/URL.

If you have a new website, then I recommend to select 4-5 best keywords for your site and then get some content written using that keywords but remember do not over stuff the keywords in the content. Try to make it useful for your reader. After that do onpage optimization and then start with some off page work and try to get some good and relevant links rather than a bulk of useless links.

Keyword is important but don't make your content keyword oriented rather write for the public. And don't worry much about keywords as Google has semantic search analysis where Google can understand well that "father" and "dad" are similar keywords. So, don't stuff your contents with similar keywords, rather use synonyms in your keywords.

As everybody has specified you need to take 5-6 keywords and need to put in the website considering all the html tags. Also write an article with those keywords in which quality of the content is important.

You then put those keywords on title tag and meta tag. Add the keywords in heading if your site has unique content. Give bold option to the keywords which are presented in the content.
    cheers,

Work on the headings, tags and internal links. Also, you can start writing rich content articles using keywords but don't use them frequently as it may too obvious to read.

Check at the landing page which you can find in my signature with the keyword "Webcam chat". The title of the page, content etc. are all relevant to the targeted keywords. That's as simple as this. The rest is writing effective content, because that's what's important once you get your traffic : conversions.
