    Hi everyone,
I'm just finding out information about link exchange now. I'm basically what you call a n00b lol :p

I've read lots about it but just wanted to know:

Say if I had a link exchange with another website, where would I put their link on my website? Do you guys make a page called links and just put their link there?

sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I really wanna know

It depends some people have a links page & exchange link using that for instance site A put's you on their links page & vice versa, or you could do sitewide link exchanges for instance site A puts your link on every single page of their site & you do the same...

The best link is a link that comes from inside the content of the page.

If you are exchanging links with another website you could place the link where ever you want as long as the other website owner is happy.

Link pages is becoming pretty useless, because a lot of webmasters just dump a long list of websites there for link exchange.

That's up to you.But create a page for links is more likely a link farm.

You have 2 ways: a) find a link exchange network and subscribe (but they usually give 2:1 ratio) and b) find similar websites and talk to the owners, they should have some sort of link building program so you can link back to them and everyone is happy ;)

Create a links page, where you put the link of the other site and vice versa or do a sitewide link exchange.

I would recommend trying www.receivelinks.com - free to setup. You do need to install an ASP or PHP script but then it is all automated.
