I have a bunch of Blogs on Blogger and I have tried everything with my Meta Tags to get some Seach Engine Traffic. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions. Some of the Blogs are more than a year old. Most of them are celebrity picture blogs and I have tried adding some text only posts in hopes that the SE's would index them but haven't seen anything yet on that either.
The only thing I can tell you is: Meta tags will never get you any traffic because search engines don’t consider them anymore form serp’s “Search Engine Placementâ€. Adding images is a good way of getting some traffic from Google images but make sure you name you images properly.
If you want traffic, I think links are your best answer. That's pretty much the currency that SE's trade in for now. I'd spend some time in the linkbuilding part of the forum, and then go out and get some links. Generally, I think that appropriate meta keyword tags just help you rank a little better once you have the backlinks to support your site, and an accurate description meta tag will help your clickthough rate from the SERPs once you start to rank.
I don't use them anyway.. but If you're using the Old blogger ( not beta ) , you can easily edit your template and insert your metas. If you're using the beta.. I've tried adding the tags, and the blogger script reverses my tags. It first places the content of the tag, and then the name. Which sucks.
The only Meta tags worth installing are the description meta tags, everything else doesn’t do anything.
Thanks guys. I have tons of images on my sites. And haven't received any traffic from Google Images. And my main site has been online for more than a year. I guess you get what you pay for. I Just think Blogger could have made their Blogs a little more search engine freindly.

Hello I see you dont get traffic on your blogs there..Have you used wordtracker?. Wordtracker is a very importnant tool. Just be sure to use the correct keyword in your content so it fits whit your article and topic. Be sure also to use the keyword in your title also such as headline of your blog and also descriptions there. I recommend also you start use tags hyper links in your content 2-3 tags should be fine. Make more and more post on your blog and new links att navigation bar...Searchengines only look att places like Title in your blog and descriptions they also look att tags and links google love links on blogs and websites and also anchour text. When optimization your blog or sites be sure there is 20 words in your content so it dosent get spammy. Hope it helps and good luck
Provide alt" attribute with "title" and other attributes with short description which you think can add value to your users.
