    I reckon this guy isnt legit, he has not replied and has no rating. Also 250$ seems kind of unrealistic for a logo.

    Not for professional work it isn't. Proper companies will dish out much more to get a logo designed professionally. I'm talking thousands. So a few hundreds isn't unrealistic if the guy's looking to get some real designers to enter.

    Having said that, this whole thing does seem a little sketchy.
    Good luck to everyone who's entered. :) And for the love of God, like bnts said, please use watermarks.

    Since ye.zero hasn't posted this, I thought I'd alert you all to the fact that the guy running the contest is 16.

    Or 61, if that's a typo.
    Either way, I doubt he's working for a petroleum company. Unless he's posting on behalf of his father (or son), this is some sort of scam.

    Give ye.zero some greens for his snooping. And I wouldn't mind some for actually posting this. :D

    There is a site called www.fielddevelopment.com and I was suspecting if the guy is working for that company. I mailed that company asking if they have hired someone to have a Logo Competition in DP but don't get any reply yet. So I already suggested in my above post to kindly use watermarks when you post your graphics...I have already had people not paying for my graphics, so be alert guys.

    I will give reviews on 25th ( i don't have time now to answer everyone sorry) and if you think this is unreal then just don't submit your entry or put your watermarks. Sorry the company name is fields development.

    After some thought, I have decided to pull out from this contest as it seems this guy is not legit. With everything being said during private Pm's, and in this thread, I think all of you should do the same.

    Yeah I meant on these forums, he could have easily got one just as good for 50$, 250$ is how much it costs if your paying someone to do it as a job.

    I think DP should start banning these guys from DP for wasting peoples times.

    And all these logos look grate , although some of you should watermark your logos so people can not steel them!
