Heh, Traffic is like gold on the internet. All of these suggestions work to some extent, but it will take effort to get it for free. The best advice I can give for getting traffic is a quality website, make people who visit there want to visit again, or tell their friends to. As for detailed instructions give the forum a browse, there are tons of threads on traffic.

 

Hey have you ever heard of "there's no such thing as a free lunch"? Well I don't know what the hell that has to do with this but like your local neighborhood has said above everything takes some effort. IMHO (That's In My Humble Opinion for those that have just got online for the first time) the best free traffic comes from the search engines. That's free! All you need to do your end is provide quality content that people want. If you provide what people want in a quality way then you will get free traffic. Sometimes you don't even need build a single backlink yourself! The search engines will deliver that right to you. Of course it does help to know some SEO but overall content always does it.

All suggestions are good. Try to Generate the RSS Feeds with your YouTube URL. Those will be helpful.

 

Articles can be a great way to get some traffic, especially for tutorials kind sites, people search for that a lot.

 

social bookmarking , like you can go to twitter , reddit , or facebook , there you can get more traffics. and also you can promote your site by forum posting .

hy there,,I just want to give you some advice to get traffic...,
firstly,,doing from simple thing just like make a good content,,it's a must....because people will love stay in your web for reason...,how to make they feel comfort???
Make them happy, get fresh information, unique tips or trick, and etc..Those why research niche is very important....
Then,,,if your web is absolutely good,,try to make blog commenting, social bookmarking, web directory, youtube,,etc...

Youtube is not very good idea to make traffic, because most people won't click your links anyways, because 50% are too dumb to even look at description, other just won't click because they are scared of viruses and so on...

 

Youtube is great for traffic, but you have to give the audience somnething they want, if they like it that much they may visit your site for more of it, see how the other uploaders on Youtube are getting people to want to visit their site to find out more

facebook is a great way to get some traffic. get the services of someone who has lots of fb friends, you're bound to get some traffic there.

 

I created a couple of vids for my forum in youtube and they had almost 300 views in the first day and quite a few clicked through and joined my forum. I have a form for members to fill out as an introductions and i have had a few post that they found it on youtube
