I know that if you make site text and background color the same you gonna get penalty form google.
What about hiden text under image? google will give penalty for that?
I'm asking this because I want to make my keywords density a bit higher...

    Pls, share your experience

    Thanks

I think any hidden text is a problem. Alt tags are fine if they aren't stuffed.

A Google Groups thread asks if there's any such penalty for using the z-index HTML attribute underneath images. Would that be deceiving the search engines if you're putting text underneath an image that is not apparent to the visitor?

Bergy from the Google Webmaster Central team says that it's not a bad practice:

So, the technique you've laid out here is neither good nor evil. ... f the hidden content is a more-accessible-but-less-pretty version of the content that hides it--e.g. text behind an image containing those words--our quality measures should not mind. Of course, we suggest using the ALT and TITLE attributes of the IMG tag, which were designed for this very purpose (providing alternative text to replace images), but you are, of course, free to design your site as you see fit.

I think you should use Alt tag to describe your images.
Google or any other search engine never penalized alt tag. You can use your keywords in alt tag, Just make sure not to use too many keywords,
Remember alt tag is Description of image because Search engine spiders can't recognized images.

Hidden text is textual content which your visitors cannot see, but which is still readable by the search engines.

Anything that is hidden and could be deemed as an attempt to "game" the system will likely have a negative impact on your site. Sooner or later.
