Paypal is not accepting my HDFC credit card

    Hello Guys,

    I am trying to use my credit card for doing payment from paypal but paypal is not accepting my card.
    My card is a Visa Powered from HDFC Bank.

    I get this error when i try add the card in my paypal account:
    I called paypal but they say me that the issue is with the bank. But i am sure when i will go to bank, they won't be aware of anything related to paypal.

    Can anyone please throw a light on how to resolve this problem?

    Just go to your bank and ask them about Paypal, i am sure they will resolve this for you!

    Bank has no idea about paypal...
    it is happening to my card too... you just cant help it... try using your debit card...
    my indian bank debit card was accepted..

    It is VISA CARD. I have also registered it at the "Verified by Visa / Netsafe"

    I am going to the branch now, let see what happens. But i am having negative feeling that they won't be having any idea abt all this and "paypal" matters.

    For HDFC, they allow you to setup 3D Secure during your first transaction.

    If this is new card, check whether its activated or not. VISA cards should work.

    It is totally waste to contact the bank regarding PayPal problems. They don't know about PayPal. This problem happened for one of my credit card. I contacted the credit card division directly. You too call their toll free number and say them that, "I am not able to use the card for online purchase". They will take necessary actions. After that, you can use your card in PayPal. It worked for me. I done this for AXIS BANK CC.

    I called the credit card division, they said because my last month pending due(Rs.1500), my card is blocked, thats why i am getting problem getting my card attached in the paypal. But I really doubt this is the problem, still i have paid the due amount today, it will be updated by evening, lets see what happens.
