There is nothing like sandbox... It is completely a myth. If your website is disappeared from search results... Do not sit idle and waiting for sandboxing to get over.
Diagnose the problem and try to solve it!!!

Both so and not so. My site has been launched in 2007. It is appeared at search results well enough by several key phrases. But my page title didn't accord with main key phrases. So I changed title. In result the site is appeared at search results by no well phrases as well as before. But by high competitive key phrases the site falls out from search results.

So the site is in the sandbox by good main key phrases. I think it isn't a myth

Why don't you do a google search for more info about the Google sandbox??? Often you can get sandboxed by building links to quickly.

I wouldn't say the sandbox is a myth, but nobody can tell you how long it will be. JUst keep working on SEO one day you will come out in a good position. I never change what I am doing if a site gets sandboxed, it always comes back better than where it started.

I've got well over a hundred sites.. they tend to jump in and out of the sandbox in that first year.. and the duration is never the same. I've been in a week and I've been there 3 months.

I think these days quality links would be the key factor according to the latest updates of google panda 2.2. If i am wrong please correct me here. My Boss says that Panda Update is just a hoax and nothing.

You should try to get good reputation in Search Engine so that its easy to get in search engine.

Sandbox a totally myth only as said by Rebacca. What you have to do is you should do quality submission and use good strategy to get visible in Search Engine.

The sandbox filter is not a permanent filter and is only intended to reduce search engine spam. It is not intended to hold people back from succeeding. So eventually, if you continue to build your site as it should be built, you will leave the sandbox and join the other established websites.
Again, if your website has been placed in the sandbox you should use this time to your advantage. It is a great opportunity to build your traffic sources outside of the search engines. If you have a website that does well in the search engines, you may be tempted to ignore other proven methods of traffic building such as building a community, or building strong inbound links through partnerships. However, if you establish traffic sources outside of search engines, when you finally leave the sandbox, you will see a welcome increase in your traffic levels.
