Is Gumtree really worth the effort?

Gumtree is really time consuming when posting. Is it even worth it? I have gotten gobs of traffic on a few ads but most are flat is anyone here ready to hype me on Gumtree?

It depends on what your selling.

I recently posted my first gumtree ad, I found that the process wasn't too time consuming and definitely less time consuming than eBay. My post was to sell a product and I was successful in selling 2 of them though it wasn't a flat. Maybe you would be more successful on selling on some sort of property site (not sure where your located, but realestate.com.au for example would be a good choice).

Gumtree is definitely worth posting on. Your posts won't get deleted that quick as on CL and there are generally more than enough visitors to make a good profit off of it.

I suppose it depends what your selling, in my experience the quality of customer is quite low, they tend to want alot for very little and tend to be lower income groups, but again depends what your selling.
