I also think Press Release Distribution should be given the first priority as it is the best way to reach target market because the internet has wider audience. My vote for Press Release sites only quality websites. (prweb.com, prnewswire) other activities can be regular participation on facebook, twitter, linkedin, create valuable content for the users, infographics, videos that surely works.

I prefer article submission because most of the article is accept in permanent rather than Classified and PR which you need to paid to stay permanent.

 

I think social bookmarking & directory submission are very effective & fast way to rank your keywords position good in SERPs. So once your keywords appear on Google first page, then you can go for other techniques such as article submissions, forum posting, press release etc. for driving traffic for your site.

I will prefer article submission. Also I would like to add blog posting in that list because we can obtain contextual links as well as relevant traffic by these techniques.

 

Forums and social bookmarking will be helpful according to my opinion. Social bookmarking can bring traffic to your site, if your post gets many votes it will be displayed in home page and the backlink has great value.
