strange search results.

while checking my indexed pages in google with "site:", google shows total 4500 indexed pages on top.
when i clicked the 10th page on bottom, the results were only 70 ?????
i clicked on page 10 and results ended on page 7. !!!

can any body pleas tell me what is this? is it normal?

 

Yeah that quite often happens. It usually means you have a lot of pages in the supplemental index.
You should be able to repeat the search without omitted results.

If your site does have 4500 pages but only 70 are in Google's index, then chances are you have a lot of low value or duplicate content on your site (or its possible that you have been penalized).

i want to inform you that my site is only 4 months old.

 

Google is just guessing those are not important content based on link juice and some have too many similar words.

 

does your site really have 4500 pages? this is very strange by the way.

 

4500 sites in 4 months!!!. I think you site has been penalized by Google. May be you don't know that if your pages are increasing too much in a certain time span than Google will penalize the site and mark it as a spam. So most of the pages will not appear in the search engines and low quality pages will also effect the rankings of high quality pages.

 

check your google webmaster tool and see if is any problem reported there, if not then jus wait a time

 

4500 is quite a big number by the way, I think that you have been penalized.

i checked the keyword for my domain and i am on top10 results.

Todays update:
now google shows page #8. before it was only 7. another 8 pages are now showing in serps.
