I have 3dtvcosts.net Think it needs to be a .com to get the bucks? I have been thinking of selling it as I'm building my local SEO business and getting ready to sell off my old domain names.

Hope this doesn't post twice. Anyway, I own 3dtvcosts.net. Think the .nets will sell well? I'm going to be selling off quite a few of my domain names soon to pursue my local SEO business.

3dtvprices yes, that sounds better. I was going to for the ranking value when I bought it. I'm selling off all my domains accept the few that are doing well in Adsense as my focus is now local SEO, which is so much easier and less stressful.

I have been contacted about my domain a-r.es - I registered it for an augmented reality concept.
Apparently there is a Spanish media company which owns many TMs on "AR" (without the hyphen). The letter stated their interest and asked what it would cost, should I wish to transfer the domain. I gave a price which they rejected saying they would prefer to take action based on prior IP rights. I would obviously prefer to avoid a dispute: if anyone has tips on what would be a wise next step, I'd be greatful to hear them!
    p.s. nice sale Giles!

    I'm not a lawyer!

If you have the domain parked, make sure it does not use any of their keywords for advertising.
I assume they don't have the trademark for AR as in Artificial Reality! Maybe you should put some content about Artificial Reality on the domain and refer to it as the abbreviated A-R. At least that way, whoever looks at the domain will see that you are not using it to infringe on anyone's TM.

    Cheers
    James

    @Holographic, @tattoos

yes - it all comes down to your intent - always be very careful of what's showing up on your parked pages with such a scenario.
even if you set up a 'name' site... 'Adam Ritchie' or something (n idea who that is haha)

the possibility also exists that the guy(s) could be bluffing and trying to scare you... but to be fair and warn you - the UDRP is about as MOODY as they come and it's become very hard to predict their rulings as some decisions are certainly head scratchers, to say the least.

i'm a stubborn lil SOB so i would call his bluff - i think A-R is just too generic to be able to take away like that
    ... but that's just me

best of luck with it and please keep us all informed.

It all depends but I think $4k is not a bad offer, if I was you I will counter with doubling the offer.
    Good luck :)

+ Btw any word on the FT auction? it seems like it's taking forever...

The offer seems quite good and I think you should not stretch the buyer too far. Countering with $7k-8k should be a good idea.
    Good luck with the sale!

you opened up a taste for 3d domains in me, this is what i managed to grab after a few minutes of playing.
I suspect buy3dtvscreens should be a hit and buy-3d-glasses as well.
If I ever sell one of those for something 5 figures I promise to go back here and through something for the guy opening this thread!
how do you like them? some seem premium to me, some semi premium/brand-able (three-dimensional.com for example)

Glad to see you are still going strong. While the sale of domain names in general are slow, 3D is sure picking up in every other aspect. It is a 3D World...
