Do you know about the start up company that came up with a product named Earth Viewer? It was designed to give a 3-D look of the earth. This service is now referred to as Google Earth. You can fly anywhere on earth at the touch of a button. You can get the world’s geographic info at your fingertips. You can view buildings and images in their 3D version. I am sure the majority of web users are aware of it. Google Earth definitely needs no introduction. It is popularly used by people these days.

I haven't used Google Earth in a while. But I know from my past experience with it that it doesn't (thank goodness) give you a live feed; the snapshots are usually several months old...

i have heard that google now going to update their old google earth version to new 3d look which gives your more clarity with real images. for that they started visiting all over the world. they put their cameras on taxis and cars to catch the video or roads and residential areas.

They use it commonly in news broadcast, especially popular when they do updates in the middle-east and want to give a regional view of current situation.

Google Earth is just an Awesome creation of Google. We can see the world in detail wherever we want from any angle. Google image is also very useful in GIS analysis especially for the urban planner like me.
