I haven't used Google Earth in a while. But I know from my past experience with it that it doesn't (thank goodness) give you a live feed; the snapshots are usually several months old...
i have heard that google now going to update their old google earth version to new 3d look which gives your more clarity with real images. for that they started visiting all over the world. they put their cameras on taxis and cars to catch the video or roads and residential areas.
