    My site has been listed like www.mywebsite.com for over a year.
    Today I was checking my rankings and I saw that G indexed it as mywebsite.com instead, without the WWW.
    The redirect is fine so I wonder what's going on?

    Have you tried a canonical tag in your <head> section to tell google which is your main site address?

    <link rel="canonical" href="http://www.yoursite.com>

    yes, you can choose how you want google to display your url.
    It's somewhere in the google webmaster tools.
