    WARNING!!!!

    Cool_paid is a scammer!!!

He sold me a domain yesterday that he did not own. I was able to contact the real owner this morning and the domain was never up for sale.

Admin - Can you please ban this guy before he can rip off any other people here?

I have an e-mail from the domains rightful owner to validate my claim.

By the way, ignore the positive itrader I gave this bum. Everything looked like it was going fine with the transaction on GoDaddy so I left the positive comment.

I can confirm he is a scammer! He has another thread up right now where his is trying to sell MY domain. It is not for sale and I don't know this person. I am the "real owner" being referenced in the quote above and luckily mfreeman6 and I were able to talk to each other about it before anything else happened. Stay away from anything that Cool_paid is selling!

Yep i got done by this guy also, only I purchased 12 domains or something :(.
They were all registered to one person in like india or something so I was none the wiser.

These domains are now all in dispute by the original owner so I am assuming that he will just be able to take them all back and I will loose the money...

An expensive lesson but a good one.

If you paid through paypal, file a dispute...paypal usually returns money to source for non-tangible goods...as I keep hearing. Something which domain buyers exploit sometimes and sellers loose their domains!!

I filed a dispute with Paypal and low and behold the scammer (Cool_paid) gave me a refund. I really didn't expect that.

I've been ripped off three times now and in all three cases the transactions did not start from an auction. Twice I was approached via PM, and the most recent incident with Mr Cool_paid was just a post in the forum, not an auction. All the auctions I have won (or paid the BIN) have been legit deals. I don't know if that is always the case, but based on my limited experience, it seems safest way to go. So from now on, I will only buy in a formal auction scenario.

By the way, I was lucky enough to get my money back in two of the cases, and I expect to get my money back in the 3rd case. Simon, if you have not already done so, file a dispute immediately.
