i m still not understand the difference between High Pr and zero PR. Why we always prefer to use high pr forum for backlink and ignore zero pr forum.

I don't know that you can isolate only this factor. There are many other considerations such as traffic, quality of the listing, deep links, if the directory is niche or local or general.

High PR just means that the Google Toolbar shows a high Page Rank rating when you visit a site. Zero PR means the toolbar shows nothing when you visit the site. Page Rank is Google's way of measuring the 'importance' of a page, by measuring who links to it and how important those inbound links are. Having a high PR site linking to your site gives you much much more of a boost than having a PR0 site.

It's worth mentioning that the Google Toolbar Page Rank is quite dated now and isn't really as trustworthy as it was any more. So looking at a site's PR is less relevant than it used to be.

Perhaps I am wrong but I was under the assumption that the higher the PR the more authority a site is given (by Google) and the more prominence in search engines

That's not really 'wrong', but it's just much more complicated than that these days. PR in the old sense - i.e. the sense shown in the Google Toolbar - still exists and still works, but is a much smaller part of the ranking algorithm now than it used to be. So just looking at the PR of a page when evaluating the quality of a link isn't anywhere near as relevant as it used to be. Stuff like the topic of the page, the topic of the domain, the kind of pages linking to that page, the other outbound links from that page, the words in the link anchor text etc - they're more relevant than pure PR.

Two links with equal PR could have a dramatically different impact on your site.

Google gives PR according to the popularity, unique content and back-links.To get PR for your site is not an easy thing.High PR means that website is most popular in Google,s mind so that Google gives first priority to those websites.

    Asking

is like asking: what is the difference between stupid and moron? The answer is: none.

Forum is a Forum is a Forum regardless of what PR it has.

The only difference between Forums, if Forum uses nofollow tag or not and if you're after backlinks,
then PR 6 forum with nofollow tag is totally useless to you regardless what PR it has.

    :)
