how does google handle keywords with underscores?

    been looking to drop some blog backlinks but certain blogs only allow for letters and underscores. So how does handle words like "canvas_printing"?

    Google is based on programming, and languages are unable to discern an underscore as a space. You are really much better off uses hyphens to break up keywords.
