I am really confused about to get my website search engine position?

Hello all respect members, I am really confused and very up sate about to know my website keyword position on Google search engine. When i checked my keyword position at Google.com, it showed no.3 in first page but when i checked my keyword position from iwebtool.com then i shocked because it showed my keyword position no.6 in second page so now what i do, how to believe. Please suggest me that Geography does matter in Google search engine position and suggest me the right way......

 

Its because of your personally settings, open it using other pc, and making sure that your actual ranking is what the tool tell you (sometimes not really perfect)

 

Make sure you are not signed in to any of your gmail account which you have been using regularly. Also everytime when you check the results in google, delete all the earlier cookies which are saved by default and then restart your computer and check your results. Those results which show up with signing any gmail account are the real results.

Hi. When checking try clearing your cache first. You can also use a proxy and check results according to country. Results of ranking in US is really different compared to searches from other countries.

 

The only way you increase your search results - is by link building - build links and guest blog on other websites - or get banners/buttons made, with an ALT tag - you're talking about your homework site? Build more quality content - where students will love to link back.

Your position is number 6 on second page - means you need more backlinks - that's the only way you'll boast your rankings.

 

just remove all the cookies, history, temp file any signout from any google account then check if u r getting position 3 in first page then this is right .. don't believe other tools..

 

The results could be from different data centres, you might not get the same result from http:://www.google.com and http://www.google.co.uk

For example I am on the first page for one term on http:://www.google.com, (number 6) but I am number 10 for the same term in http://www.google.co.uk

BTW, changing the URL does not always change the data centre.

Yes Geography is metter with keyword ranking.If you are checking keywords in india with Google.com and same keywords will show different ranking in USA.even you should check wether you are not logged in with Google account while checking the rank.

 

Might be both(google & iwebtool) having different data center.
