No, as far as I know. It's the same as www.domain.com and domain.com. There's no difference.

As far as I know, URL's that point to files normally do not have a slash, URL's pointing to directories, do. So I think it's best to include the slash in your links, it also speeds up loading time, not dramatically, but it does.

Always add / at the end of your domain.

No. A slash doesn't make any difference until the destination of the link is same.!
But surely www makes a difference :D

This reason why i am asking is this. Right now my domain is hosted with Ning social networking site, and I want to change that hosting company in next year. It means i am going to abandon my all data (all directories). But still then i want to make back links. Therefore i think for me to make links with not slash is good for me now. What do you think? Sorry for my poor English.

There is no difference between with slash and no slash, the backlinks will remain for both of them.

I think its worth adding the slash, it makes it a little faster. Of course there will be no difference for backlinks so its not such a big deal. Its really up to you.

ther's no difference in using slash and not using it. As the question raises for link building, its not important to consider all these silly things its better to concentrate on Title and description of your submission. And the directories considers the page rank of your submission site.

    Hi,
your question is very simple but yet very serious one to be considered while doing off page optimization. When ever you do optimization for a site follow a single URL that you would like to get top position.

There are different scenarios where people do mistakes while promoting website :

    1.http://abc.com
    2.http://abc.com/
    3.http://abc.com/index.html
    4.http://www.abc.com
    5.http://www.abc.com/
    6.http://www.abc.com/index.html

The Above said URL's all point to home page of abc.com but still while doing off page follow a single URL and promote it till the entire life of the website.

Please correct yourself... www.domain.com and domain.com are entirely different. There are considered as two different URLs by Google.
