I don't like this update, because scrapper sites now ranks above mine lol.

Google is doing mistake with such update as they still struggling on detecting who is the original owner of the content.

It is all about low quality content. Google changed its algorithm about content websites that have low quality content will not rank at any cost that is good from every perspective. i appreciate Google's effort.

The Google Panda update is a game changer in terms of search and website ranking. The last time Google updated their search algorithm this much was back in 2007 when the Google Florida update discounted links and PageRank and re-arranged the search results for thousands of websites. This time it's no different.

Google's update is a clear attempt to improve the organic search results by degrading the existing spam sites which pollute them. In order to do this it has upgraded its algorithm to look for specific 'signature' elements which now mark a site which has spam content.

By understanding what the characteristics of a spam site are from the perspective of the Google search engine you can reverse-engineer it and begin to understand what you need to do in order to stop your website from being adversely affected by the Panda Update.

I write high quality contents (not duplicates, unique) and didn't really focusing too much on SEO.. yet my visitors went down from 3,500 to around 2,400 a day now :( Stupid Google!

How to Determine a Valuable Backlink Opportunity

How can you determine whether a site you're trying to gain a link from is valuable? Here are some "warning" signs as to what Google may have or eventually deem as a low-quality site.

Lots of ads. If the site is covered with five blocks of AdSense, Kontera text links, or other advertising chunks, you might want to steer away from them.

Lack of quality content. If you can get your article approved immediately, chances are this isn't the right article network for your needs. If the article network is approving spun or poorly written content, it will be hard for the algorithm to see your "diamond in the rough." Of course, when a site like Suite101.com, which has one hell of an editorial process, gets dinged, then extreme moderation may not necessarily be a sign of a safe site either (in their case, ads were the more likely issue).

Lots of content, low traffic. A blog with a Google PageRank of 6 probably looks like a great place to spam a comment. But if that blog doesn't have good authority in terms of traffic and social sharing, then it may be put on the list of sites to be de-valued in the future. PageRank didn't save some of the sites in the Panda update, considering there are several sites with PageRank 7 and above (including a PR 9).

Lack of moderation. Kind of goes with the above, except in this case I mean blog comments and directories. If you see a ton of spammy links on a page, you don't want yours to go next to it. Unless you consider it a spammy link, and then more power to you to join the rest of them.

From what I know it is another algorithm change implemented by Google to weed out low-quality sites that does not present a good user experience. It might impact sites in terms of traffic and relevance to Google user's search terms.

I had also experienced that poor content will be a call for Google to penalize that site
