    I would like to know that I have seen RSS Feed box at the top of the blog or website. But what is use to insert it. Have any abuse of it which lead to bad effects?

    it is userd for user subscription for the blog/ site... the user get the updates whenever the site is been updated

    It is a kind of subscription provided by you to your visitor.

    Every time you make an update, RSS feed notifies to the subscribers (as well as to the SEs) that you have some new to offer, to read, to discuss etc.

    As such there are no bad effects of RSS feed box.

    I haven't read any bad effects of using RSS and I don't think there is a way you can "abuse" it. RSS feeds help drive traffic to your website by informing subscribers that there is a new post on your website/blog. It also lets the search engines know that your site has been updated, helping your site to get indexed more frequently.

    RSS feeds is a tool to acquire traffic to the website.It allows the visitors stay informed about the content and what's going on the site.
