I doubt that facebook will intend for building a search engine. So better stop thinking about Facebook search engine.

This is all a fake news which has been spread over the net by the people who dont have enough stuff to do online. Obviously this is not gonna happen ever only because google and facebook are delivering completely different services to users. Most of the times, when you search something in facebook it will take you to a relevant fan page, networked blog, group or an event which has been started on Facebook itself. So how can you find reliable stuff for your search on facebook ?

    Yes you are right.

Tell those noobs to search in Facebook itself, then they will see Bing search results. :p

I dont think so..Google is a search engine where u can search anything, facebook is a social site which connects people n communities..but facebook is becoming popular. If facebook search engine is advanced n promoted then it can be on top list but below the google..

I don't think so, Google is really advance search engine and it got many other things (e.g Google ads) i know FB got those too, but they aren't famous as Google's ads service is.. If Fb is going to launch it's search engine yet it will take time to compete Google...

Google is slowly moving into the social media marketing world. I think in the next couple years we will see more from Google in that department. They failed with Google Buzz, now I have a feeling they will come back with something much better.

I still want to say "Nothing is impossible!" Now, It seems that Facebook will come into China market that is the biggest networking market in the the world. Over 0.5 billion people are using Internet. But Google meet the failure in China now.

I think FB is now entertaining to enter the search engine market. How good they will be is the prime determinant if they could compete well with Google. Search could easily be integrated with FB interface right now.

    Everything is possible.
