With only 5000 friends limited. Some friends not active user, maybe just forget ID, not continuing the account, or some other reasons. That makes our friends slots are useless. Do you know how to flush non active friends with fast action?

Not really, I am doing it manually everyday with a target of 10 friends per day. I just go through their profile page and check if they dont have any activities, just unfriend them ;)
If anyone comes up with such script, it would be really great.

Well first would be, when was the last post he made by himself, you can check that by any feed which is automatically generated if you like a page or comment on a post. Then check out the photos section, you have a date when was the last photo updated. Check that date if it is more than 2-3 months, just unfriend him/her ;)

I haven't heard of any automatic methods, but I know people who have used FB Events to do this. They post a "friend cleanout" event and ask friends who want to remain on their list to "attend" the event. Set the event to be "happening now." As you probably know, FB Events you have been invited to show on the right-hand sidebar in FB. I would also suggest posting a status update every day, maybe once a day or so, to remind your FB friends to either attend (want to stay on your list) or not attend (meaning they are requesting to be removed). Just write clearly what you want people to do in the event description. I would say to make it as easy as possible for people to respond. I would simply ask those who want to remain on your list to respond that they will attend and anyone who does not want to remain to decline. I would also say that anyone who does not rsvp could be removed. I hope this helps:)

There is no automated way to do this so far, but most likely FaceBook would come up with something in the near future.

...or someone else who had a need for it. Really, anything you can do with a mouse and a keyboard can be automated.

As said above, there is not an automated way to do this as of yet. Why not take the time to go through your friends lists and remove inactive ones yourself?

What is the purpose of this though? At some point they may be active again in all honesty?

    What harm does that do?
