    I have done so many works for my site.... still i don't have any knowledge how Google & yahoo search engine provide us backlinks to our site... & how we can check backlinks from them to our site..


    All suggestions should be very welcome.

    Google and Yahoo don't provide backlinks to your site, they simply crawl and index links from other sites pointing to your site.

    Use Google Webmaster Tools, Yahoo Site Explorer, Open Site Explorer, Backlink Watch....to check your backlinks. But keep in mind that different search engines will pick up different links.

    @hhsaus is right. If you want google & yahoo specific link then try yahoo blog, yahoo dir., google blog etc.

    And for checking your backlinks you can go to alexa.com or you can use a backlink checker. Just type on google "check backlinks"

    you can use backlink checker free tools available online. the link building is not one time job you have keep continue to stay on top of the position. so your work is still pending.

    The best way to check your links in google as well as yahoo search engines is the add-on SEO-Quake. If you have firefox or google chrome installed on your computer, just go ahead and install this add-on. This add-on will give you complete details of any site you wanna check for backlinks. It also shows the age and the complete history of the domain since it has been bought.

    Learn to use http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com and how to determine nofollow vs. dofollow. You can benefit a lot from learning nofollow and dofollow. Yahoo explorer is a good tool, limited but good.

    They don't give backlinks. They search FOR backlinks for your site.
    Online tools work but there are some paid ones that are more accurate and work better.

    In checking backlinks, try to put this on search engine "link:website name" ex. link:digitalpoint.com. In that way, you can view how many backlinks do you have already.

    Remember that yahoo and Google don't ever give you or provide backlinks to a site. Your backlinks are as a result of SEO techniques, search engines just index and crawl your site.
