    Hello everybody.

First I want to say that I am realively to website publishing and my english isn't really great, so I'll state the facts and hope some body will understans me or even help me!

So since I uploaded a few open source php files and then deleted them from my web root I am unable to access my website ( totallybored.org ). I tried changing the permissins - it didn't help so I put them back to their default values.
Then I tried creating a .htaccess file but I get an error message saying that I already have such file (it is not vilible in the file manager so I am unable to edin it)
Since the beginning I've been trying to contact with the support of my hosting provider but I had no responce.

So this is it. I have no idea what to do and I really hope someone can help me.

    Solved! View solution.

403 either means the permissions are wrong or you are missing an index page (e.g. index.html)

If you can't see the .htaccess in the file manager then you'll need to use FTP (as it is it a hidden file, many file managers won't show them). It could indeed be your htaccess breaking things. If your control panel allows it, look at the error logs as it should show where the problem is.

It's no good that your host isn't responding, maybe time to look for a host with decent support?
