Canonical Tag Doubt

I am well aware how canonical tag works. Canonical Tags works mostly like a 301 redirect and they are used to contribute duplicate content pages link juice to the tagged page.

Now my question is: let say i have 10 pages under the topic "love quotes", my mine aim is to use 1 page to rank contributing my other 9 pages to pass its link juice to page 1. So in this case what i can probably think is canonical tag. Also i am aware that if i am use to canonical tag the 9 pages will not be indexed (which is not the problem) or shown in Google in the serps and the 9 pages are not duplicate contents(concern). My ultimate motive is to use one single page to use all the link juice.

If i do this do you think i am breaking any Google guidelines on ranking? Will this effect on my rankings?

how there will be any link juice in the 9 pages which will have canonical tag set in them? As you are telling the search engine these pages are not the actual ones, they will not have any value, google will know that there is only 1 page, rest others are just same as the original one, they will not develop any juice to pass to anyone

What if there is 100 backlinks for each of the 9 page? In this case all the link juice the 9 pages get will be directed to the tagging page. I am well aware of the fact that there will be no value to the 9 pages and my concern here is that i am not actually having duplicate pages but i want all link juice to be passed onto page 1. Is it against the guidelines or will this effect my rankings as my purpose serves different.

Are each of these pages just a series of links to the actual content, or are there just 10 pages of content in total?

Wait, are you trying to link out from the same page to 10 different URLs hoping it will count as much as 10 different links to one URL? You'll get more juice with 1 page and 1 inbound link.

No i think i you guys have got my question wrong or may be it is coz i have put it out wrong.

Well i will be not making backlinks to all 10 pages. I will be aiming only page 1 and will be working on offpage SEO for that page alone. The reason i am adding the canonical tag for the rest of 9 pages is coz i will want any natural links or page value to pass onto my page 1. Make sense?
